Coming out of the closet can be one of the most rewarding—and scary—choices you’ll ever face.  Being in the closet can be very isolating, with your having to hide a tremendously important and wonderful part of yourself.  Imagine being completely authentic with your parents, family, friends, and co-workers.  Imagine exploring your romantic and sexual attractions openly.

Coming out requires courage.  The stakes are high, with some men having real possibilities of losing friendships, being disowned by conservative parents, or even losing their jobs.  There are definitely risks of rejection, so it pays to be prepared.  The good news is that things often go better than men imagine, and a number of relationships deepen as a result.
